India Government has banned 59 Chinese apps on both Android and iOS. In a major decision, India government has banned at least 59 Chinese root apps including TikTok. Most popular apps including Shareit, WeChat, Helo, Shein, Likee, UC Browser among the list of banned China apps.
The move is directly aimed at “safeguarding” the interests of crores of mobile and internet users. This decision is a targeted move to ensure the safety and sovereignty of Indian cyber world, the Ministry of Information Technology said in a notification.
